I cant believe this happened. McKenna and i went out in the field to give the cows some hay and the larger of the 2 cows tried attacking us. What the heck--JAKE yes i am blaming him...I will be honest i was a little scared of the cows when we first got them not knowing what they were capable of doing. For the first week i was just throwing the hay over the fence and they could eat it there. Jake didn't like that because the wind would blow it into the flower beds and every where else. So he told me that i needed to "grow some balls" <---whatever. And go feed them in the middle of the field. Mckenna and him always get like 2 feet away from them while feeding so i didn't think anything of it. I marched myself and Mckenna out there and sure enough after watching them eat for about 1 minute "daddy cow" looks up and starts walking towards us. Humm what is he doing? I thought we better walk away. So we did but she followed us and started walking faster and getting closer. By this time i was saying ohhh shoot (used a different word) this freaking cow is going to get us!!!!!! I was holding McKenna on my hip and started RUNNING for our life. I look back and she is running after us so i throw my arm up in the air while running and turn around and YELL at her hoping that it was scare her. THANK GOODNESS it did. She jumped back which gave Mckenna and I a few extra seconds to keep running to the fence. She continued to come for us, i tossed Mckenna through the fence, (hit her head on the railing) and then i made it through before Cowey could get us. My heart was racing to say the least and Mckenna said "Mommy I'm scared the cow almost got me". From here on out---NO more feeding the cows in the middle of the field. A little hay wont hurt the flowerbeds:)

Well, like I always say...you can never trust a pregnant cow! Okay, so I've never said that before. But maybe that's why she's moody. I'm just glad you and Nin are okay!
ReplyDeleteHey McKenna! Nice touch - I love your video. I have to admit, I've watched it more than once and I will have to keep watching it because you make me smile :) I hope you make more videos! Love, Aunt Amanda
ReplyDeleteOh My!!!! Leslie, I can just imagine you running and yelling at the cow and as scary as it sounds, I'm cracking up all by myself at the thought of it. I'm glad that you two are okay. AND, shame on Jake!!!!!
